[ARCHIVED] AN EVENING OF SWING AT THE COLEMAN THEATRE

It’s Western Swing time at the Coleman Theatre Beautiful as Corky Davis & The Cowboy Swing Band bring an “Evening of Swing” to the stage Saturday, April 11.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors, students and children.

“Western Swing is a part of Contemporary Jazz that was developed and performed in 1930s and 1940s by Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys,” Davis said. “It’s been called a musicians music because it’s interesting and a fun music to play.”
Corky Davis & The Cowboy Swing Band is a seven-piece group that will perform Western and Eastern Swing, with a little bit of country thrown in for good balance. Most recently, the group appeared at shows in Siloam Springs, Ark., OK Mozart in Bartlesville and the Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa.

“The comedy and good-natured fun of this group will leave you with a few good memories and a few laughs to brighten your evening,” said Shannon Duhon, Managing Director of the Coleman Theatre Beautiful.
To purchase tickets or for more information, call the Coleman Theatre Beautiful at 918-540-2425 or stop by the box office window at 103 North Main in Miami. Mastercard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted.
