[ARCHIVED] COMMUNITY NOTICE: City of Miami to Test Outdoor Warning Sirens

As a reminder, the City regularly tests outdoor warning sirens each month unless there is threatening weather. Should an advisory, watch, or warning be issued for the published Monday, testing will take place on the following Monday when no advisory, watch or warning is in effect. The City’s outdoor warning sirens are silent tested periodically during the month.

If the sirens are activated due to threatening weather, all sirens will sound with a steady tone for three minutes. Should additional soundings be needed due to severe weather, all sirens will be sounded for an additional steady tone for an added three minutes. The city does not sound an ‘all clear’.
